Below are observed results from when I was doing a NIC card install on 3 IBM 3850 M2 servers.
Server Specifications:
16 CPU Cores x 2.931 GHz
64 GB RAM
| Boot to BIOS | = | ~5.19 | minutes |
| Boot to ESX | = | ~8 | minutes |
Vmotion informaiton
| Total VMs | = | 30 |
| Running VMs | = | 26 |
| Powered off VMs | = | 4 |
Total time to migrate/evacuate VMs = ~12.51 minutes
Note: These servers each have 2 addittional 4 port NIC cards, 2 fiber cards, and RSA. Boot time might be faster with a “stock: server.
